SUNw: Scene Understanding Workshop

The goal of this workshop is to provide a yearly summary of new progress in the field through a combination of talks, posters and a panel discussion. We plan to compile a yearbook to summarize the new progress in the field by accepting 1-2 page extended abstracts from active researchers in the field, both by invitation and submission.

Specifically, the workshop will focus on the following aspects:

Important Dates
Extended deadline for Submission: April 29, 2013 (5pm PST)
Notification of Acceptance: May 15, 2013
Camera-ready deadline: May 30, 2013 (5pm PST)
Workshop date: June 23, 2013 (full day)

Submission Instructions
We invite submissions of extended abstracts of at most 2 pages describing work in the domains suggested above or other areas related to scene understanding. Accepted submissions will either be presented as posters or talks at the workshop. The extended abstract should follow the CVPR formatting guidelines and be submitted as a single PDF file to the CMT site mentioned below. Reviewing will be double-blind and carried out by the Program Committee.

Dual Submissions
We encourage submissions of relevant work that has been previously published, or is to be presented at the main conference. The accepted abstracts will be posted on the workshop website in a compiled yearbook and will not appear in the official IEEE proceedings.
